Da steht ein Mensch neben einem Pferd. Sie schauen zusammen in die Ferne. Der Arm des Menschen liegt um den Hals des Pferdes. Hält der Mensch sich fest? Wird das Pferd beschützt, dominiert oder ist es eine viel subtilere Wechselbeziehung zwischen den beiden? Die Arbeit fragt nach der Beziehung zwischen Mensch und Tier und der belebten Umwelt.
Das Verhältnis ist geprägt von Dominanz und Ausbeutung, das schlussendlich zur vorherrschenden Entfremdung, die sich durch viele Aspekte unseres Lebens zieht, führt. Die Sehnsucht nach Zugehörigkeit ist komplex, die Geste einer Umarmung ist der Versuch sich dieser anzunähern und von Verwandtschaft und Freundschaft zu träumen. 
Der Mensch ist bewusst ohne eindeutiges Geschlecht, die Proportionen haben ihre eigene Spielweise. Das Monumentale Reiterstandbild wird gebrochen und es bleibt ein Gefühl von Verletzlichkeit.

A person stands next to a horse. Together, they gaze into the distance. The arm of the person is resting on the horse's neck. Is the human holding on? Is the horse being protected, dominated, or is there a much more subtle reciprocal relationship between them? The work explores the interaction between humans, animals, and the living environment.
This relationship is marked by dominance and exploitation, which ultimately leads to the prevailing alienation that permeates many aspects of our lives. The longing for belonging is complex; the gesture of an embrace is the attempt to approach this desire and to dream of kinship and friendship. The figure is intentionally genderless, and the proportions have their own dynamics. The monumental equestrian statue is deconstructed, leaving a sense of vulnerability.
