Performing "how would you hold it "
at para_text in Berlin with Leo Rhian and Paulina Schute
In spring I was hiking for several weeks. Everyday I got up early and was on my feet all day long. My body (me) got used to the movements, the repetitions. It felt good. One morning, my algorithm played me a new song. I was walking along a stony coast, next to me meadows, cliffs and the sea. All of a sudden I had to stop.
If you could hold your own heart, how would you hold it?
It hit me. I stood and thought: Yes - that is the question.
How much are we bodies? What is this heart, anyway? Are we our heart, is it our center or is it the head, the brain? Are we soul, consciousness, mind? What happens if you transplant the head onto another body, would it still be the same person?
How do we deal with ourselves? How would you touch, caress, hold your heart?
